HOUSING:

Sandy Loan, Broughty Ferry

The development is 15 flats in Broughty Ferry, designed in two south facing blocks that respect the urban pattern of the surrounding area whilst addressing a new street.

Working with the very tight site constraints, they were the first new homes to be built in Dundee under the ground-breaking National Housing Trust (NHT) initiative, and were visited by Scottish housing minister Margaret Burgess on 8th Jan 2015.

Externally a mix of traditional and new materials is evident: natural stone, timber cladding, proprietary render walls, slate roofing and timber windows.

The finished proposal is a creation of high quality modern, energy efficient rented housing in Broughty Ferry which will benefit the local community.
